TrendSource's Newly-Minted CEO, Victoria Hyzer, Signs Diversity Action and Inclusion Pledge

Posted by TrendSource on 21 December

TrendSource, a data collection and compliance firm based in San Diego, CA, announced Victoria Hyzer as its new CEO last week. Hyzer had previously served as President of TrendSource’s OnSite Inspections division, where she steadily grew the division’s services and client base, and has worked with the company since 2010, when TrendSource acquired Vision Compliance, Inc, a DBA of American Title Inc., where Hyzer worked as Manager.

Understanding the significance of being TrendSource’s first female CEO, as well as the context of unprecedented social upheaval, Hyzer, within days of her appointment, enrolled TrendSource in The CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion, a group that helps companies evolve and enhance their current diversity strategies. The CEO Action, the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace, now counts over 1,400 CEOs of the world’s leading companies and business organizations as signatories, who are leveraging their individual and collective voices to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

By signing on to this commitment, TrendSource pledges to take action to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected and where employees feel encouraged to discuss diversity and inclusion. The collective of more than 1,000 signatories have already shared more than 1,400 best known actions, exchanging tangible learning opportunities and creating collaborative conversations via the initiative’s unified hub.

In joining the program, Hyzer highlighted TrendSource’s recent work surrounding racial justice and voting rights (including a donation to the Brennan Center and comp time for employees working polling stations during recent elections), as well as its overall commitment to employees and their social actions.

As Hyzer noted, “Our commitment to racial justice and diversity cannot become tokenism; we must actively and passionately integrate inclusion and equity into our workplace culture to advance the enlightenment that we demand from our society.”

TrendSource is one of 51 signatories led by women CEOs. By joining together, TrendSource hopes to lead critical conversations for women in the workplace and create a more diverse and inclusive environment. With 47% of the US workforce made up by women, companies have the opportunity—and responsibility—to play a meaningful role in addressing and advancing such an important societal issue.
