The 2014 NAPBS Mid-Year Conference provided TrendSource a great opportunity to join our fellow NAPBS members as one of the only providers to meet with regulators on Capitol Hill, spend time with our current and prospective clients, and learn how the current regulatory environment is affecting the industry.
As a member of NAPBS since 2005, TrendSource actively participates in the mid-year and annual conferences as a provider and an exhibitor, giving Victoria Hyzer, Senior Account Manager for TrendSource OnSite Inspections and Co-Chair of the NAPBS Provider Committee, the unique opportunity to participate in Capitol Hill Day and meet with fellow NAPBS members. Each year, these events offer us the chance to enhance our OnSite Inspection solutions to meet the ever-changing regulation needs of the industry.
This year’s conference focused on legislative activity affecting the industry at both the Federal and State levels. Throughout the conference, NAPBS members learned about:
- Current legislative landscape and how it impacts their business
- EEOC guidance on the use of criminal history records for employment screening purposes
- Regulations being enforced by the FTC and CFPB
As always, the NAPBS mid-year conference was a great success, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone at the NAPBS Annual Conference in Denver starting on October 19th.
